Dementia is a difficult disease to manage, whether you are a patient or a caregiver. This is why Medicare has started the GUIDE program with no copays to help dementia patients and their caregivers. In addition, in recognition of the value caregivers provide in patient care, Medicare will cover $2500 of respite care annually to support qualifying caregivers.

Medicare beneficiaries.
GUIDE allows us to have a dedicated Care Navigator work regularly with you and your caregiver virtually to address your specific needs, answer your questions and coordinate your care to help keep you safely in your home.
Eligibility for participation in GUIDE is limited to beneficiaries with diagnosed dementia and who have Traditional Medicare as their primary insurance. At this time, GUIDE is not available for patients with Medicare Advantage, those residing in a skilled nursing facility, or patients enrolled in PACE or hospice programs.
